Stupid AC

I think it was a couple of weeks ago when I was complaining about our AC froze and DH was able to get it working again.  Well it happened again and no matter what DH did it was planning on staying frozen, so of course we had to call someone.  And here is where frustration sets in (aside from no ac); so yesterday morning DH calls and tells them the problem and asks when they can come over, lady says she'll have to call back because she needs to look at the schedule.  It's now been a little over an hour and still no call so I decide to call and get the ball rolling...

Me: Hi I'm ___, and my husband called about our ac and I was wondering if you had a chance to look at the schedule.
Lady: Yes ma'am, and all of our technicians are out and I haven't heard back...(she trails off)
Me: Sooo you're saying probably not today.
Lady: Yes, because I would hate to tell you today and then no one can get there.
Me: Ok so how about tomorrow morning
Lady: Oh! Would you like me to put you down for tomorrow morning?
Me: *in my head-No dip shit I want to sit in a hot freaking house with 4 kids for the rest of the damn week* What I actually said was "yes I would like someone here first thing in the morning.
Lady: How does a time between 9-10?
Me: If that's the earliest then perfect

Now let me mention again that we live in Texas and even though it was in the mid 80's it's still hot out here, so please explain where the common sense was when that lady was acting like a damn idiot.  On the bright side he was here first thing in the morning and our problems are solved.  Ahhhh I'm now a happy mamma who's been cleaning like crazy since I've been at my in-laws.

Next adventure is meet the teacher night tomorrow!

Just Go To Bed!

For the past couple of weeks DS has been having problems staying in bed.  It never fails every night, and I mean EVERY NIGHT he'll come out of his room to tell or ask us something.  Oh and it's not just once or twice I'm talking like 3 or 4 times.  It's driving me freaking bananas!!!

Here are some of the excuses:

  1. Can I go to the bathroom? (Grrrr yes you don't have to ask!)
  2. Can I have a drink of water I'm thirsty? (NO, cuz then you'll want to go to the bathroom AGAIN)
  3. I can't sleep because I hear DD1 sleeping (Then shut your door)
  4. I can't sleep because DD2 is playing in her room (she's a whole nother ball of wax and for her not to be screaming and crying is a plus-my reply is same as above)
  5. I just wanted to give you a hug and tell you I love you (Ok now if he uses this one first then I'll feel bad but when it's this far down the list I'm annoyed)
As you can see night time at my house is a loooong and exhausting task because not only is he getting up but as you can see DD2 takes forever to go to sleep and the only thing keeping her in her room is the gate.  Seriously y'all it's getting old, if DD2 isn't crying LOUDLY, then he's getting out of bed over and over again. My big issue is when school starts; I can't have him getting out of bed every 2 min just because.

So here's my question, would it be bad to put a lock on the outside of his door, or maybe I should get a huge gate he can't climb over.  Ok, Ok, I'm kidding I wouldn't really do that, even though the thought has crossed my mind.

*Totally random but don't you wish you had a soundproof glass divider in your car.  I know I do that way I wouldn't have to listen to all the nonsense like: "he's touching me" "quit looking at me" "MOM", oh I could go on...

Get Real

This morning I'm checking my email and I get one saying I have a coupon to purchase a sling which will be basically free and all I have to pay is s&h; ok cool. I go to the site they have cute slings but I notice all the "moms" look like this

Oh Nooo What Happened?!?

The other night I'm washing bottles when all of sudden I hear DH yell "What the hell happened, have you seen this!" Let me think...no I haven't I'm cleaning while you're taking a shower (now just to let y'all know if you haven't guessed I'm very sarcastic-it's just who I am). Well now he has everyone's attention and of course the kids make it to the room before I do and you know how kids can be especially DD1 (overly dramatic). So when I walk in literally 30sec later I hear "Omg, what happened...it wasn't me!" In all fairness their dramatics were well placed because this is what we saw.

That's right someone dumped an entire thing of fish food into the tank, and yes we knew exactly who it was. Would anyone like to guess who the culprit was...

Here's the rundown: I was in the kitchen and come on I'm like 33 way to old for crap like that; Hubby in the shower; DD1 and DS watching the Olympics and neither one would be bold enough to think it would be funny, plus they know it could kill the fish. This now leaves us to only two, hmmmm wonder who it could have been since DD3 is 2 months old. That's right our little diva (DD2), and what is Miss Thing saying as we're all looking out "Oh nooo what happened?!?" That's right she's totally putting the blame on someone else and it's taking all that the rest of us can do not to laugh because we ALL know it was her, but she's playing innocent until DH says "we've told you not to mess with stuff on the desk or the fish" to which she replies "I sorry Daddy." Ahhh they know just what to say and how to say it.

But here's the kicker it's now
Monday
, Tuesday and this happened Sunday night. Do you think the tank has been cleaned out-NO. Do you think I'm going to clean that out since I didn't want the tank in the first place-NO. Grrr he better get to it tomorrow because it looks gross, and before anyone freaks out the fish is in a bowl that's way more clean than the nasty thing sitting in my room.

I Just Couldn't Help Myself

There has been an "issue" going on in my house for some time know with DD1 and food. This past year has been HELL for us and let me explain why...It all started with me doing my weekly run through of the rooms making sure there crap stuff has been picked up like clothes, toys, and whatever misc junk they find from wherever throughout the week, along with washing sheets. Well on one of my check-ins I notice she has candy wrappers stuffed in her pillowcase and not just a one or two I'm talking at least 10 or more! Ugh, we have a talk with her about food in her room because frankly I don't like it the idea of crumbs and possible bugs just wigs me out; did I mention I have OCD tendencies at times. She apologizes and says she won't do again-WRONG! Ok well she didn't but then we started noticing the candy and cookies and whatever sweets in the pantry are dwindling and it's not because of my sweet tooth. Come to find out after terrorgating her and DS we find out the culprit is of course DD1. Seriously stop with all the sweets if you're hungry look for something a little bit more healthy, that's why we buy fruit, or crackers, hell eat a dang bag of chips but quit with all the freaking candy; and just for the record I'm still finding it in her backpack and stuff. Fast forward again a few weeks and as I go to get DD2 ready for bed I find ANTS in her room, ANTS!!! And which wall are these annoying little ants on...you guessed it the wall that shares DD1 and DD2. Oh yeah I'm now pissed and go storming into her room because I just know she's been eating in her room AGAIN! I call DH and tell him what's going on and of course DD1 is insisting that she hasn't been eating in her room cuz she knows the s*^t is about to hit the fan. So here it is 10pm and we go thru everything and we hit the mother load. Candy wrappers in her nightstand and under it along with it being under her bed, in her backpack, bookcase, and then I proceed to the closet...holy s@#t balls! Gum wrappers, whole pieces of gum (not chewed) more wrappers, cupcake liners that are hard like rocks, Popsicle sticks, and that just what was on the floor, I then find more of this crap in her Rubbermaid boxes. It took us over an hour to clean and vacuum up her room, and yes she got disciplined.

I'm sure at this point some of you are wondering how I don't know this is going on well here's the deal I like to take naps and since this past year I was working and preggo I took a nap every weekend-that's how I didn't know. Anyways the next day we go and buy a lock for the pantry door because obviously she can't be trusted and that lock has been on there ever since. So why am I posting about all of this today since there's a lock and surely she hasn't gotten into it-wrong again. I'm making dinner and while the meat is defrosting in the microwave I'm on the comp. checking some stuff, she comes in telling me about the cool stuff in the Olympic Ceremony and then leaves to go watch some more (at least I thought). I walk out about a min or two later to the kitchen and there she is in the pantry.

Me: What are you doing?
DD1: I'm in trouble aren't I?
Me: What are you doing in there?
DD1: I couldn't help myself, it just looked so good (I now see the pack of Oreo frosting in her hand) and remember how good it tasted on the cupcakes! I was hungry!
Me: (I'll admit the way she looked and said it I was laughing in the inside but held my composure) "Are you serious out of all the things in there you go and pick the frosting plus I'm making dinner right now."
DD1: So now I'm going to get a spanking great!
Me: It's not like we haven't had this discussion before.

She's now whining and crying and I go back to dinner because honestly at this point I just don't know what to do and don't want to deal with it so I tell her to help her brother find his DS charger since DD2 misplaced it today and we still don't know what she did with it. I call my sister and tell her and we have a laugh but at the same time wondering what to do. After dinner we're enjoying jello and what does DD1 say "I hope you enjoy your jello." Me: I hope your frosting was worth it because not only are you not eating any type of sweets but you'll be eating nothing but veggies for dinner for the next week, consider it opening yourself to new tastes." And you can imagine the moaning and whining we had to listen to and will be listening to for the rest of the week, but maybe now she will get the message and either choose something better then candy and if she's not sure ASK, because really how many times do you need to be disciplined before you get a clue?!?

I Gotta Poop!

It seems that lately Baby Girl is having a hard time staying in her room (imagine that a 2 1/2 yr old not wanting to be in her room).  It has gotten seriously out of control I'm talking opening and closing her siblings door, running into the living room and just coming up with every reason under the sun to not stay in her room and go to bed.  Well enough is enough and a few days ago we went out and bought a baby gate, think about it do you ever see animals loose in the zoo ;)  Needless to say she doesn't like and the first few nights was pure torture for her and us (screaming, crying).  Once we got passed that she figured if she yelled out she had to pee or poop well then of course we would let her out even if only for a few minutes.  And now she's started a game with every 5-10 min of yelling to go potty us getting her and the cycle starts over but didn't last long.  Last night she started it up AGAIN, but we knew better because we took her potty right before bed.  Oh man were we so very wrong, after about 15 min of her screaming to go potty Hubby went to go get her and how he wish had gotten her sooner.  I pull her pull-up down and there you have it a bunch of poop!  Oh man talk about a gross smelly mess.  But please tell me how he didn't smell crap when he got her cause I could sure smell the lingering in her room-blah.  After cleaning her up we told her that she needed to go one time and that she couldn't keep coming in and out of her room.  How is tonight going?  Well not to bad only one time asking to go, she went, no more calling out but she is playing...one battle at a time.

Do you have the keys?

OMG y'all will not believe what happened to me Saturday.  OK well DH and I decided to go to the skating rink to see his Grandma who just got out of surgery. *His Aunt owns the rink and his Grandma and Mom work there on the weekends.*  So we get the kids ready and are heading out the door; he's ahead of me with both of the kids and before I lock the door I ask twice, I repeat twice if he had the keys.  His answer both times is yes; so I lock the door and as I reach the car he tells me he doesn't have the keys.  What?!?  At first I think he's joking, but of course he's not.  And do you think I have my keys in my huge purse-nope I took them out before I walked out the door.

Now the real fun begins because DH and I are walking around the house checking every window and door.  Meanwhile the kids are sitting in the car and the oldest is wondering why we haven't left yet.  Luckily I had my phone to see if my mil had a spare key or what time her or my fil was getting off of work.  We tried everything we could think of to unlock the door, you know credit card, bobby pin.  Yeah none of those things worked.  Here we are for about an hour trying to see what we can do with out breaking a window and we had nothing.  So we broke our kitchen window, but get this it was a double pane window and neither one of us knew that.  Can you believe that we had to break two windows.  I am the lucky one who gets to crawl through and then he and I had the pleasure of cleaning up the mess afterwards.  But the evening got better because we ended up going to the rink anyway and we all had a really good time.

The Banshee

For the past two days my normally sweet Chuky Monkey has turned into a scraming banshee.  Were talking a major crabby patty.  I'm guessing that it's because he is cutting some new teeth but whenever he lets me look I don't see anything.  I really don't know how much more of the screaming I can take.  No matter what I try to do it's not making him happy.  First he wants me to pick him up and then when I do he gets mad and wants down.  For real I wish at times like this I could read his mind or he could talk to me and tell me what's really going on with him.  For all I know he could just be having a grouch couple of days and wants to take it out on us

Oh and lets not forget everything, and I mean everything that he's getting into.  I could tell him 100 times and move him-but do you think that stops him.  No way!  If anything he thinks its funny when I get up to move him or he'll throw over his shoulder whatever he has and takes off.  Don't get me wrong there are many times I find this funny-not infront of him.  But some days there is only so much high pitched screaming and getting into stuff one can take.  The good thing about the past couple of days is that DH has been home with me.  As for tomorrow well he has to work so wish me luck because I may need it.
