Need Some Help

For awhile now I've been meaning to post my question and I know y'all are the perfect people to answer my question.  I need real recipes that aren't to complicated for me and my family (since I'm not a great cook).  Anyway we're all getting pretty tired of anything that has the word helper in it.  And by real recipes I mean recipes that use everyday things, you know not like in cookbooks where it seems like every recipe you need different ingredients that you'll never use again.  Am I making any sense?  Also if you can recommend a good useful cookbook that would be great too.

My wife and I are always in a hurry and need something quick but hearty. We have been using Kraft recipes for quite a while and they work out great. http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/Dinner/

Hi! I stumbled across your blog from a christian blog roll. I love the website supercook.com. You can enter ingredients you have in your kitchen now & it will give you recipes. I also have recipes on my blog at http://www.thegiftcloset.blogspot.com. :)

We love beans and wienies:
1- Large can of pork and beans
1 cup brown sugar (more or less to your tastes)
1/2 cup ketchup
1 package your favorite hot dogs (cut into pieces)
american cheese for topping.

Mix everything but the cheese into a 1 1/2 or 2 qt oven safe casserole. Cook on 350 for 30 minutes. Place cheese slices on the top and place back in over until cheese is bubbly.

**If you have small children, please set their dinner aside until it cools, due to the sugar and cheese this can burn your tongue if not allowe to cool.
