Week 1

Well I stepped on the scale this morning and I can't believe it I've lost 2 lbs.-yay!!  And I really can't believe it because I only worked out one day last week-I know, I know, shame on me.  But I'll tell you what I did do:

  1. I didn't super-size my meal if I ate fast food

  2. I drank no more than 2 cokes a day and that's good since I was drinking at least three.

  3. I ate only three meals a day.

  4. I ate dinner around 7 and if I was hungry later I wouldn't eat any dessert-which by the way has been super hard since I have two packages of carmel popcorn left.

  5. I've been drinking more water, but still no where near 8 glasses a day.

So that's what I've been doing but seriously folks I've got to workout this week-no excuses.

Good for you!!!! I'm actually trying to eat better this week too, so hopefully I'll either lose a little weight, or at least stop putting some on!!!

YAY great news! Now this week you MUST get down to one coke a day! That is what I did and it has killed me! That seems to be what I miss the most! Water gives me a headache! Have a good day!

I am TOTALLY with you on the working out thing - no excuses for me, either. Time to recommit - great job on the weight loss!

Way to go!

It's been pretty hot here the past several days. I think I may have sweat a few pounds away.

Great work! I only lost a half a pound - but I'm not quitting! Good luck this week too!

Thanks everyone for all the comments, and congrats to all of you who have shed some pounds and who have changed something in their diet. Now about working out there must be a way to motivate ourselves, hmmmm.

Wha???? You lost two pounds on THAT plan? If I followed you around doing all those things, I'd GAIN at least five! But then, I was blessed with hypothyroidism after my darling son was born. *sigh!* If only I hadn't gained 50 POUNDS with BOTH my kids. I was four pounds over my pre-preg weight w/Daughter when I got pregnant with son. Now that Son just turned 17 months old I am still five pounds above my pre-preg weight with him. If I'm doing math right (which I'm probably not, as is not my forte) I am still 9 pounds too fat and just can't quite comfortably fit into my entire wardrobe!

Good job! It is hard to change your life style but every day counts. Kudos for you :)

Hey! Great Job!! I thought I'd just remind you, that during the first month or two of working out and trying to lose weight, your weight will fluctuate quite a bit, especially when you start drinking lots of water. The scale is almost never your friend during this period.

So if you don't see much difference when you step on the scale, don't get discouraged, keep on going!! If it makes you scale-o-phobic, another great indicator of how you are doing is your dress size!! :D

Anyway, all the best!!
