Family Fridays

Family Fridays

Liz at Monkey Kisses is starting a new blog carnival called Family Fridays where we write about something we've done with our family this week.  It can be anything-movies, games, cooking together, or playing outside.  So go on over to her blog if you want to join and sign Mr. Linky.  I'd like to hear what some of y'all do together as a family.

Ok so here is mine-Wednesday night we waited for David to get home and when he did we all piled on the bed to watch Shrek.  Chunky Monkey wasn't very interested in the movie, instead he was climbing all over us and just laughing.  We let him climb all over us and get out some of that energy since it was almost his bedtime.  Once he fell asleep the three of us watched the rest of the movie and it was so much fun.  It was so cute watching Sweet Pea's face while she was watching the movie.  Her whole face would light up and she would start laughing.  It was a lot of fun, and just nice to have all of us sit together.

We finally managed to get the family to the zoo again last weekend. It was the spontaneous result of the kids both being up at the crack of dawn on Saturday. That means Husband and I were also up at the crack of dawn. We seized the opportunity to make it to the zoo and back and even get Son back home for his nap before he turned into demon-child (as he can tend to do if overtired).

I'm glad you visit my blog. I enjoy your company! I also always love to peek into the lives of others who have the same age children...just to see how THEY survive some days!

I also love your links to other Christian bloggers! I wasn't aware of these, and think I may sign up for some more webrings!

I'm having a problem emailing you for some reason, could you email me again from another email address? I'm trying to send you the code for the blogroll.

The girls have finally graduated from watching only cartoon movies to ones with real people in them. The other morning, Caroline and I both woke up really early for no reason and I was flipping through the channels and found "The Secret Garden" which was a favorite of mine when I was little. We watched it together and it was great to be able to share something with her that I loved as a little girl. And the times where I get to spend time with one of my kids one on one are so few and far between. It seems like such a simple thing but it really meant a lot to me.

I love "The Secret Garden," I haven't watched that movie in forever. Another girly favorite of mine is "Little Women"-loved the book and the movie.
