Horton Hears A Who

Last night we went to go see the new Dr. Seuss movie and I thought it was great.  Sweet Pea loved it and of course now she wants the book and can't wait for the movie to come out so we can buy it.  Monkey was surprisingly good during the first half and then the second half he kept going from me to Mimi, and then to Grumps.  And of course during the last 20 min he decided to chill out and watch.  I can't believe I actually went because that meant taking Monkey and the last time I took him he was terrible, but David was working late last night and I really wanted to go, and I'm glad I did.  Ooo before I forget I have to tell you the previews I saw: Nim's Island-I'll pass; Kung Fu Panda-It's going to be hilarious; Wall E-Can't wait to see this latest Pixar movie; and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaur; I really like the first two and I think this one will be good, oh and it said that it will be coming out in 3-D too.

Oh and before I forget no one has left me any rude comments about me getting a ticket but you know how some people can be so that's why I said don't leave one.  Thanks for leaving me your stories and comments.

I can't wait to see Horton and I'm glad to hear it was good. I always have a hard time taking Peter to movies too. He can be exhausting!
I can't wait to see the Kung Fu Panda and Wall E. I'm just so glad that finally some good kid movies are coming out. It seemed like we had several months of nothing!

I'm trying to figure out when Little Man will be old enough to take to a full length movie. I'm just not sure he'd sit there the whole time either. And I'd really be afraid that 10 minutes into the movie, he'd say "we watch Nemo now?' and then have a meltdown when I don't obey! :)

I hope Horton wasn't as bad as the first two Dr. Suess remakes. I was really very upset and disappointed in them Especially some of the humor that I found to be out of line for an OBVIOUS kids movie.

Oops. Here. I'll put away soapbox :-)

I have seen previews for 3 different 3d movies this summer. I can't wait!

Dr. Seuss is classic; after seeing Horton Hears a Who i was reminded how much that guy can pack into a simple storyline... they didn't add much to the original story either except for the usual Jim Carreyisms.
