Soap Addict

I have my Grandmother to thank for my addiction to The Young and the Restless.  For as long as I can remember I have been watching this soap, and I'm not the only one hooked on it-my sister loves this soap too.  What can I say other than her I watch this soap everyday and then we call each other and talk about what happened.  I know we're dorks and David is always asking me why we don't talk about the real world.  Well you know what sometimes it's nice to have a little escape from poopy diapers and chasing your little ones around.

Now my ahem devotion to this show does not end with watching this show everyday; I also look up spoilers on the internet.  Yes, yes, yes, I know I have a problem-and so does my sister because she wants to know the spoilers too.  Seriously what is one hour out of my day from taking care of kids and cleaning-not much.

I don't really think I'm the only out here who watches any type of soap, I know there are plenty of you out there who secretly loves at least one soap as much as me and my sister do.  And if not then that's cool too; oh just to let you know we don't sit and eat bon-bon's while we watch Y&R.

I'm with you! The Young and the Restless is the one soap I like too, although the slow pace of the plots sometimes really KILLS me! I don't get to watch it as much anymore, although, when Sweetie Pie isn't there, I'll watch the previous week's episodes on Soap Net to get caught up. And I regularly go to CBS.com to read the recaps when there's exciting stuff going around!

I love Y&R too! I do take breaks from it sometimes though, like when they brought Sheila back again, how many times and on how many shows can one woman die? I grew up watching soaps and The Price is Right as a kid. I honestly didn't watch cartoons until I was ten and had a sleepover at a friends house and we watched the Saturday morning ones!
I think our days would be so much more fun if we had a pair of those clappy shoes and some earrings so big that we have to pull off when we take a phone call.

Sometimes they do drag out their plots and then when it all comes to a close you're like that's it! For example the whole Carmen Mesta murders-come on now how long did they think they could drag that out. Any who Tracy you had me thinking of my sis and The Price is Right-she still watches that show and can't believe that Bob is going to retire. Oh and yes life would be fun if we had the wardrobe they have in soap land. Ahhh I'm just glad to know there are other fans out there-thanks ladies :)

LOL. I'm not so much a soap fan but my nana used to watch y&r. I don't think it hurts anything. If the kiddos are busy & happy & you are refreshed afterwards then who cares what anyone else thinks;)

I was hooked on B&B for years & years - actually if I wasn't home (like back when I was in school) I would tape it religiously. Really don't remember WHY I stopped watching... ???!!! Now I'm all about Desperate Housewives & Amazing Race...

I like Days of our Lives. It used to come on the Soap channel at 6pm...so I would try and watch it. But they took it off...so I lost my fix. I plan to catch up this summer!

Enjoy your Soap...you deserve it!

Did you know that they put DOOL back on at 6 pm. That's when I'll watch it if I have time. I used to watch that one regularly but then kind of quit.
