Mommy Talk #4

This weeks topic:  How much weight did you gain (w/picture...if you're brave enough).  Also what did you like most and least of it.

Ok well I asked Tracy if I should post this picture and she said to go for it so here I am.  Now I do have some other pictures of me but the only other one on the computer I'm wearing a black shirt and you can't tell how big I am.  And as for the other ones they aren't on my computer so here  you go.  Now for a little background info.  I was 7 months pregnant with my second and obviously it's around Halloween, and my mil thought it would be funny to paint my belly.

As you can see I was totally up for it and I think it's hilarious.  So to start I'll tell you what I loved most about pregnancy: the attention-I know shallow.  But really think about it everyone is always pampering you and plus you have this amazing glow and I don't know about any of you but I think pregnant women are beautiful.  I also loved going to every appointment to see how much they were growing and getting to hear their heartbeat, but the best part is feeling them move around inside of you especially when they get the hiccups.  Oh and who can forget being able to put on weight and eating whatever you want because now you have a reason to.  Speaking of weigh with my first but during the first four months I would loose a couple of pounds and then gain one the next time.  Overall with her I gained about 30 lbs, and my mom would be so kind to remind me that I'm not really eating for two.  As for my second my mom kept her opinions to herself (thank goodness) and my weight never fluctuated and I gained 30 lbs on top of some of the weight I didn't lose from the first.  I'll never forget when I found out the sex of both them, it was so exciting and it was Christmas coming early.  Sweet Pea was so great about having a new baby brother and would talk to him and kiss my belly all the time.  Oh and I always used my belly as a t.v. tray-I loved it.  I also had an absolute blast shopping for baby clothes and maternity clothes-thank goodness the prego clothes now don't look anything like our moms.  You know the ones with a hideous looking bow right above your belly.

Now for the dislikes; first off heartburn.  I pretty much felt like Tracy, I was popping Tums like they were candy.  Heartburn definitely sucks.  I also had a very hard time to getting used to the stretch marks.  With my first I lasted up to my last trimester and they just started popping up everywhere like the plague, with my second I got a few more but not to many.  This next one may sound stupid but I noticed my nose got wider or something.  I know I'm not crazy because when I look at pictures from the first and then second it's a huge difference.  Luckily for me my nose doesn't look like it did when I was prego.

Ok here is the other one I was telling y'all about.

Those are really great pictures! I'm so glad that you posted the one of your painted belly. It's so cute and I'm only a tad bit jealous that my tummy wasn't as cute are yours! And you're very pretty! I had never seen a picture of you before!
Great post!

I love the painted belly. How cute. Yup, I have an obscene number of stretch marks too from my first. No added ones from my second, but I don't think there is any room for more. LOL
